Our Uncle Nick & Cousin Jimmy grow this special variety of buttery walnuts just down the road from our orchards. They are a cross between a Persian red-skin walnut and a creamy English Walnut, the result is this brilliant red nut that has less tannins than other varieties making them less bitter than more mainstream varieties.
They are a great addition to any salad, banana bread, or even snacked on all by themselves.
